JACCS EMPOWERS CAREER ORIENTATION JOURNEY FOR STUDENTS AT SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGE GO VAP
02/07/2026 13:28:38On June 7, 2026, JACCS’s journey of spreading community values made a stop at a special destination – SOS Children’s Village Go Vap. Here, JACCS accompanied the event as a sponsor, collaborating with Ms. Ngo Da Thien – a professional guide with over 30 years of experience in human resource training and development, to bring a practical career orientation course designed for students from grade 9 and above.

presents the career orientation activity sponsorship board at SOS Children’s Village Go Vap, HCMC.
Instead of theoretical advice, the career orientation course was designed in the form of experiential activity-based learning, helping students actively discover their capabilities and sketch out their own future roadmaps.
From Self-Understanding to a Clear Map of the Future
Taking place continuously from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, the course was structured as a comprehensive experience, guiding the students through highly applicable activities.

Warm-up and ice-breaking activities during the career orientation event.
Applying the “Career Tree” into Reality
Every right choice stems from self-understanding. In the first step, the students approached the Career Tree Theory – by author Phoenix Ho. Through this, they gained a deeper understanding of the importance of knowing who they are, what their personalities are like, and what specific interests, abilities, and talents they possess. These are fundamental factors that exert a decisive influence on each individual’s professional success.
Positioning Career Interests via the Holland Codes
Through activities aimed at identifying which occupational personality groups they possess a dominant inclination toward, the students could more clearly recognize the professions that match or do not match them, allowing them to begin considering and making career choices for the future.

Students enthusiastically engage in teamwork, drawing and presenting on occupational groups.
Identifying Fields of Study – Occupational Groups and Building an Educational Roadmap
Once they better understood their capabilities and interests, the children entered the final stage: mapping out the future. Here, they were guided on how to connect their Holland career interest test results with the World-of-Work Map (ACT 2009), making it easy to visualize and narrow down suitable occupational groups and jobs in reality.

Many exciting activities during JACCS’s career orientation event at SOS Children’s Village Go Vap.
The course concluded with each student successfully establishing a specific “employment pathway,” transforming distant goals into clear action plans.
A Journey of Sowing Seeds for the Future with the Younger Generation

Gifts awarded to outstanding students during the activities.
JACCS believes that every proper guidance today will serve as the foundation for firm steps in the future. Through practical community activities, JACCS wishes to continue accompanying the younger generation on their journey of self-discovery, nurturing dreams, and developing their potential.
